Again, the Nordic peoples, and especially the Swedes, amaze us. We knew they enjoy bathing in cold waters in the middle of winter. We also knew that they love saunas. The rest of the story is logical.
They decided to build on the snow a kind of golden egg that contains … a sauna!
And not just any sauna. A sauna that contains a wood stove, wood in reserve and an internal wooden lining as in a classic sauna.
The copper pans are there to create a moist, and traditional wooden benches. Magnificent !

A sauna on the coast

The Finns had accustomed us to bathing in the cold winter in the middle of the winter. And the reputation of their saunas has long since passed the limit of their borders. Here, they still come to surprise us with this magnificent set along the coast. The idea is to rehabilitate an old industrial area and bring tourists. Wood is omnipresent. In addition to the sauna, there is a restaurant, a terrace and an amphitheater. One more reason to visit Finland.
